HVAC Chiller Technician – District Cooling Systems

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HVAC Chiller Technician to operate, inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair district cooling system equipment. The role ensures reliable, safe, and efficient delivery of chilled water services while complying with operational, safety, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and operate district cooling plant equipment, chilled water distribution, BTU meters, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and control systems.
• Conduct routine inspections and record operational parameters such as flow rates, temperatures, pressures, and energy consumption.
• Monitor SCADA/BMS systems, respond to alarms, and ensure continuous chilled water supply to customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance according to approved schedules and execute corrective or emergency repairs.
• Inspect and maintain pumps, motors, valves, strainers, expansion tanks, heat exchangers, and piping.
• Assist in testing and maintaining electrical and control systems related to cooling operations.
• Coordinate with specialized contractors for major maintenance activities when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and update asset registers and management systems.

Required profile

• Technical Diploma in HVAC, Mechanical, Electrical or equivalent technical school graduate.
• More than 5 years of experience in large chilled water facilities.
• Proficiency with medium‑to‑high tonnage systems (250‑2000 tons) and hydronic systems.
• Experience servicing water‑cooled screw or centrifugal chillers.
• Knowledge of air compressors, pneumatic controls, and health & safety regulations.
• Valid driver’s license.
