In-patient Pharmacist

About the role

We are seeking an In‑patient Pharmacist to join our hospital pharmacy team. The role involves preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring safe and cost‑effective pharmacotherapy for admitted patients, and supporting the overall quality of the pharmacy department.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense medication orders according to physician requests, policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Ensure safe, appropriate, and cost‑effective medication therapies for patients.
• Contribute to the quality and efficient operation of the pharmacy department.
• Counsel patients on the proper use of their medications.
• Train and orient new staff members on assigned duties and tasks.
• Inspect medication storage areas, including conditions, stock levels, and medication trolleys.

Required profile

• BSc degree in Pharmacy.
• 2‑5 years of experience, preferably in a hospital setting.
• Ability to validate medication orders and prescriptions, and to dispense and prepare medications.
• Knowledge of medication management policies, procedures, drug laws, and regulations.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts.
