Information Assurance Engineer

About the role

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Information Assurance Engineer to join the client team in Jordan. The role focuses on translating security and business requirements into robust technical designs and ensuring the implementation of comprehensive security measures across systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement information assurance and security engineering solutions covering business continuity, operations security, cryptography, forensics, regulatory compliance, insider threat detection, and physical security analysis.
• Assess and mitigate system security threats throughout the program lifecycle, validate security requirements, and establish system security designs.
• Configure, test, and validate secure systems, perform network scanning and vulnerability analysis, and ensure compliance with DoD/IC policies and industry best practices.
• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot defense devices, manage signatures, patches, and accounts, and support secure system operations and maintenance.
• Provide security certification testing, vulnerability management, security assessments, and customer guidance on security issues.

Required profile

• High school diploma with at least 9 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• State‑accredited Professional Engineer (PE) license through NCEES.

• Competitive salary range of USD 94,150 – 101,317 per year.
