Information Management Consultant (Remote, 5 months)

About the role

UNICEF is seeking an Information Management consultant to support the finalisation and rollout of the MENA Information Management Strategy and to assist in developing a Monitoring Framework. The assignment is remote, based in Amman, and runs for five months.

Key responsibilities

• Translate the regional IM strategy into practical guidance, tools and methodologies for country offices.
• Develop and pilot monitoring frameworks that align with the new strategy.
• Support capacity‑building activities to improve data quality, data flows and the use of information for programme decisions.
• Collaborate with the Programme Planning, Monitoring and Research (PPMR) Section and other IM functions to ensure coherence across the region.
• Provide recommendations for standardising roles, systems and reporting mechanisms.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in information management, monitoring and evaluation, or related fields within humanitarian or development contexts.
• Demonstrated ability to produce guidance documents, tools and methodological notes.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience supporting data‑driven decision‑making.
• Excellent written communication skills in English.
