Information Security Governance Internship

About the role

This one‑year internship within Zain's Governance, Risk, and Compliance department offers fresh graduates the chance to gain hands‑on experience in information security governance. You will work closely with the security team to develop policies, assess controls, and support business continuity initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and document security policies and procedures.
• Research and evaluate security controls for applications and services.
• Collaborate with the security team to identify and remediate security issues.
• Conduct compliance audits against international standards.
• Draft business continuity and disaster recovery plans.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic, Network, Communication Engineering or Network Security Engineering.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.

Required skills

• Security audits and checks.
• Evaluation of security controls.
• Business continuity planning.
• Knowledge of ISO 2230 and ISO 27001 standards.
• CISA certification (preferred).
• Network security fundamentals.
