Interim Recruitment Officer (6‑month contract)

About the role

War Child is seeking an Interim Recruitment Officer to support the coordination of recruitment activities across the organisation for a six‑month period. The role will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Specialist, hiring managers and HR Business Partners to ensure a smooth, inclusive and candidate‑focused recruitment process.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate recruitment processes for all assigned vacancies, including interview scheduling and assessments.
• Assist with drafting, publishing and promoting job advertisements and recruitment materials.
• Support candidate sourcing, screening and long‑listing activities.
• Maintain accurate recruitment data in the HRIS (Personio) and other tools.
• Provide timely, professional communication to candidates throughout the hiring lifecycle.

Required profile

• Previous experience in recruitment, HR or administration.
• Strong organisational and coordination abilities, able to manage multiple vacancies.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Professional written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Experience with recruitment/HRIS systems (e.g., Personio).
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
