IP and Core Systems Operations Manager

About the role

The IP and Core Systems Operations Manager will lead the end‑to‑end operational strategy for the IP Core and critical network services, ensuring maximum uptime, security, and alignment with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Drive operational strategy, service assurance, and multi‑year technology roadmaps for IP Core platforms and related systems.
• Oversee lifecycle management, maintenance, and health of core network platforms such as DNS, RADIUS, DPI, CGNAT, firewalls, load balancers and proxies.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations of IP/MPLS aggregation, backbone, international transit, peering interconnects and corporate networks.
• Establish and govern KPIs, SLAs and OPEX/CAPEX budgets, ensuring cost efficiency and business continuity.
• Champion ITIL best practices, incident/problem/change management and embed automation and predictive analytics for proactive monitoring.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in large‑scale telecommunications or IP service provider environments.
• Proven track record operating mission‑critical, high‑availability networks under strict SLAs and security requirements.
• Strong crisis leadership with experience managing major incidents and cross‑functional teams.
• Exceptional people‑management skills, capable of building and mentoring multi‑domain technical teams.

Required skills

• BGP and MPLS routing architectures, including Segment Routing (SR‑MPLS/SRv6).
• Carrier‑grade core platforms: DNS, RADIUS, DPI, CGNAT, Next‑Generation Firewalls, IPTV headends, load balancers and proxies.
• Transport and backbone expertise: DWDM optical transport, GPON, FTTx, and mobile RAN fundamentals.
• ITIL framework, automation, and predictive analytics for network monitoring.
