IT Budget & Cost Management Specialist

About the role

The IT Budget & Cost Management Specialist will lead the planning, tracking, and optimization of the organization’s IT financials. This role works closely with finance, procurement, and IT teams to ensure accurate budgeting, cost control, and strategic reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, consolidate, and maintain the annual IT budget (Capex/Opex) across all IT functions.
• Perform monthly budget vs. actual tracking, forecasting, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Maintain IT cost baselines, total cost of ownership (TCO) models, and cost allocation/chargeback by business unit.
• Identify, track, and report cost‑optimization initiatives and realized savings.
• Build and maintain budget trackers, dashboards, and management reports using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Track purchase requests, purchase orders, invoices, commitments, and spend within Oracle Cloud ERP.
• Support business case development and ROI/NPV analysis for IT investments.
• Assist procurement with RFP/RFQ preparation, commercial evaluations, and vendor coordination.
• Maintain IT contracts, renewals, SLAs, and software/license subscriptions.
• Maintain IT governance documentation, track roadmap execution, and prepare executive presentations.

Required profile

• 3–7+ years of experience in IT budgeting, cost management, and financial tracking.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, dashboards).
• Hands‑on experience with Oracle Cloud ERP (Financials/Procurement) or equivalent Oracle ERP.
• Strong understanding of Capex vs. Opex, accruals, GL, and cost‑center structures.
• Experience preparing executive‑level reports and PowerPoint presentations.
• Familiarity with COBIT, ITIL, and IT procurement processes.
