IT Officer

About the role

The IT Officer is responsible for supporting, operating, and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, end‑user services, and business systems. The role ensures secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations aligned with organizational needs and policies.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, log, and resolve IT support requests via the official Helpdesk Ticketing System, providing first‑line support for desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals and standard applications.
• Prepare and configure laptops and desktops for new employees, install operating systems, standard software, antivirus and endpoint security controls, and maintain accurate asset records.
• Monitor end‑user data backup status, generate backup compliance reports, and support data restoration requests.
• Conduct daily and periodic security checks on endpoints, monitor antivirus alerts and security dashboards, and report potential threats.
• Assist with operational support for enterprise systems such as email, SharePoint, HR systems and POS systems, handling access and permission issues.
• Support CCTV installation and maintenance, monitor internal networks and servers, and coordinate with internet, telecom and digital service providers.
• Document procedures, maintain compliance records, and assist senior staff with advanced issues.

Required profile

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures for device preparation and asset management.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for on‑site and remote support.
• Capability to log, track and close tickets within defined SLAs.
• Attention to detail for backup monitoring and security checks.
• Effective coordination with internal stakeholders and external service providers.
