IT Support Intern – Unpaid Internship

About the role

Concentrix is looking for an IT Support Intern to join its Information Technology and Global Security team. The role provides hands‑on exposure to deskside support, end‑user computing, IT service management and infrastructure troubleshooting in a professional environment.

Key responsibilities

• Learn and apply Incident and Problem Management fundamentals, including ticket analysis for deskside equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting local servers, network devices and voice infrastructure under guidance of Network and Server teams.
• Perform basic diagnostics using tools such as Ping, Tracert, IPConfig, DNS validation and Active Directory Group Policy tests.
• Support end‑user devices including desktops, laptops, hard phones, Wi‑Fi devices, printers, scanners, biometric devices and video‑conferencing equipment.
• Help with hardware support tasks, software troubleshooting for Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Skype for Business, OneDrive, softphones, antivirus, VPN and imaging.
• Document issues, participate in incident communication, and support onboarding, change request preparation and compliance activities.
• Contribute to business continuity testing, site compliance and security practices such as BitLocker and encryption software validation.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 0–6 months of exposure to desktop/laptop hardware and software support in a Windows‑based environment or equivalent academic/project experience.
• Strong willingness to learn, ask questions, document findings and follow defined processes.
• Good communication, teamwork, attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Windows 10 operating system.
• Microsoft Office suite, Outlook, Skype for Business, OneDrive.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, basic networking commands (Ping, Tracert, IPConfig).
• Citrix client, VPN, antivirus tools, imaging and firmware updates.
• BitLocker, encryption software, Wi‑Fi configuration.
• Hardware diagnostics and basic hardware replacement.
