Junior QA Engineer (Remote)

About the role

PetraLink is seeking a Junior QA Engineer to join a fast‑growing remote self‑storage management software project. The role focuses on manual testing while also contributing to test automation, ensuring high‑quality releases for a US‑based client.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects using Jira, Linear, or similar tools.
• Conduct API testing with Postman or comparable tools.
• Create and maintain automated tests using Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate closely with developers and product teams.
• Leverage AI‑assisted testing techniques to improve efficiency and coverage.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional QA/testing experience.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and QA best practices.
• Ability to write clear test plans and test cases.
• Good written and spoken English.

Required skills

• Manual testing across functional, regression, integration, exploratory, and end‑to‑end scenarios.
• API testing using Postman.
• Test automation with Cypress and/or Playwright.
• Basic JavaScript programming.
• Version control with Git.
• Issue tracking with Jira and Linear.
