Laundry Attendant – Hotel Housekeeping

About the role

We are seeking a Laundry Attendant to operate and monitor washing, dry‑cleaning and drying equipment for a hotel in Amman. The role ensures all linen and garments are cleaned, inspected and returned to guests and staff in a timely, safe and high‑quality manner.

Key responsibilities

• Operate commercial washing, drying and dry‑cleaning machines, add appropriate chemicals and clean lint traps and filters after each load.
• Inspect items for stains or damage and decide on re‑wash, spot‑treatment, repair or discard.
• Fold cleaned articles by hand or using folding machines and place them in designated linen carts.
• Maintain accurate records of laundered items and follow all safety, security and company policies.

Required profile

• No formal education required; high school diploma or GED is not mandatory.
• No prior laundry or related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk and lift objects up to 25 lb and work in confined or elevated spaces.

Required skills

• Operation of commercial washing and drying equipment.
• Use of chemical cleaning agents and proper handling of dry‑cleaning solvents.
• Basic record‑keeping of laundry items.
