Lead Software Engineer – Python Backend Technical Lead

About the role

CFI Financial Group is seeking a Lead Software Engineer with deep Python expertise to drive the development of backend services for its online trading platform. You will lead a technical team, shape architecture, and ensure high‑quality, secure, and scalable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and implement new features and products.
• Define technical specifications, choose appropriate technologies, and enforce coding standards.
• Present implementations to senior leadership, including the CTO.
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee software quality.
• Participate in code reviews, identify anti‑patterns, and drive refactoring.
• Maintain and improve microservices, containerized applications, and related infrastructure.

Required profile

• BSc in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of professional software development experience, primarily in Python.
• At least 1 year of experience leading technical teams.
• Strong attention to detail and a solid understanding of software quality assurance principles.
