Learning & Development Manager

About the role

The Learning & Development Manager drives company values and ensures training activities align with the organization’s mission and vision. Working with property leadership, you will identify development needs and deliver effective training programs to achieve business results.

Key responsibilities

• Administer employee training programs: promote and inform staff about training, demonstrate leadership in guest hospitality, ensure ongoing training on guest expectations, use effective methods, meet regularly with the training cadre, observe service behaviors and provide feedback.
• Evaluate training program effectiveness: monitor enrollment and attendance, meet participants to assess progress, partner with operational leaders to verify skill demonstration, review comment cards and guest‑satisfaction data, measure transfer of learning, and incorporate adult‑learning principles.
• Develop training program plans and budgets: align all training activities with the mission and vision, identify performance gaps, collaborate with managers to design and implement training, adjust methodology as needed, drive brand values, and integrate guest‑satisfaction metrics.
• Manage training budgets: participate in budget development, control departmental expenses in line with HR and property financial goals, use P‑card where appropriate, and monitor spend to meet or exceed budgeted targets.

Required profile

• 2‑year degree in Human Resources, Hospitality, Business Administration or related field with at least 2 years of relevant experience, **or** a 4‑year bachelor’s degree in the same fields with a certified‑trainer qualification (no experience required for the bachelor route).
• Certified trainer status is mandatory.
