Legal Counsel

About the role

Reporting to the General Counsel, the Legal Counsel will act as a legal generalist, providing comprehensive support across the company’s legal matters while ensuring compliance with Jordanian laws and regulations. The role involves advising on labor law, litigation, corporate governance, and intellectual property, as well as managing external counsel and liaising with regulatory authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert advice on labor law, social security, and employment matters; support HR in employee relations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
• Manage litigation cases, develop strategies, prepare documentation, and coordinate with external counsel.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and official documents in Arabic and English, ensuring legal compliance.
• Represent the company before competent authorities, submit required filings, and handle governmental correspondence.
• Support corporate governance by preparing Board materials, maintaining corporate records, and ensuring compliance with public shareholding company requirements.
• Oversee the company’s intellectual property portfolio, track trademark filings, renewals, oppositions, and enforcement actions in coordination with external IP counsel.

• Highly organized professional with strong follow‑up abilities and attention to detail.
• Proactive, results‑driven, and able to work independently from day one.
• Tech‑savvy with experience using legal and productivity tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
