Loss Prevention Officer – Hotel Security

About the role

The Loss Prevention Officer patrols all areas of the hotel, assists guests with room access and ensures the safety of guests, employees and assets. You will monitor CCTV, alarm systems and fire‑life safety equipment while responding quickly to incidents and emergencies.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol the property, lock entrances when required and conduct daily hazard inspections.
• Monitor closed‑circuit television, perimeter and duress alarms, and fire safety systems.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, call EMS and complete incident reports.
• Defuse guest or employee disturbances, escort unwelcome persons and call for outside assistance when needed.
• Investigate incidents, gather evidence, interview parties and maintain confidentiality of all reports.
• Prepare daily loss‑prevention shift summaries and activity reports.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk or run for extended periods and lift up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Willingness to work flexible hours in a hotel environment.
