Manager, Processing & Scheme Operations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead card payment processing, scheme operations, and complex processor migration initiatives in Amman. The role involves overseeing end‑to‑end transaction flows, ensuring scheme compliance, and driving operational excellence across the payments ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the subject‑matter expert for card transaction processing, advising business, technology, product, operations and risk teams on scheme rules and industry best practices.
• Manage BIN, ICA, ARID and scheme licensing structures, leading rationalisation, migration, consolidation and de‑commissioning projects.
• Lead issuer and processor migration projects from planning through production, including card portfolio conversions, host migrations and scheme connectivity.
• Oversee authorization message flows, transaction routing, clearing, settlement and reconciliation, analysing approval rates and decline drivers.
• Drive tokenisation initiatives, MDES implementations and digital wallet integrations such as Apple Pay and Google Pay.
• Coordinate scheme certification, end‑to‑end testing, UAT and pilot programmes to ensure production readiness and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in card payments, issuing, acquiring, payment processing or scheme operations.
• Proven track record managing processor migrations and complex card portfolio transitions.
• Hands‑on knowledge of authorization processing, clearing, settlement and transaction routing.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional project leadership skills.
