MEAL Officer – Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist

About the role

The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) Officer will support ONSUR’s humanitarian and development projects in Jordan by designing, implementing, and improving MEAL systems. This role ensures high‑quality data collection, analysis, and reporting to inform program decisions and maintain compliance with donor and organizational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop project‑specific MEAL plans aligned with logframes, donor requirements and results‑based management frameworks.
• Create and maintain Indicator Tracking Tables and monitoring frameworks.
• Design quantitative and qualitative data collection tools, including surveys, FGDs and interviews.
• Conduct field monitoring visits, verify implementation, and prepare high‑quality monitoring reports.
• Analyze data using digital platforms and generate evidence for decision‑making.
• Ensure adherence to safeguarding, PSEA and code of conduct policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Economics, Development Studies or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 4 years of experience in humanitarian monitoring, evaluation and participatory assessments.
• Strong knowledge of MEAL principles, logical frameworks and results‑based management.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
