Mechanical Supervisor

About the role

The Mechanical Supervisor will lead the mechanical maintenance function in a fast‑moving consumer goods production environment. Reporting to senior management, you will ensure that all production equipment operates at optimal reliability while supporting TPM initiatives and adhering to budgetary constraints.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily activities of the mechanical maintenance team to maintain equipment performance.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to reduce downtime.
• Conduct mechanical breakdown analysis for critical failures and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Coordinate resources—including personnel, spare parts, tools, and equipment—to execute maintenance work efficiently.
• Participate in setting annual KPIs, maintenance budgets, and end‑to‑end maintenance strategy.
• Ensure compliance with the computerized maintenance management system (SAP) for work orders, purchase requests, and projects.
• Maintain spare‑parts management system for critical mechanical components.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to ISO 22000, ISO 9001 and AIB standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading a mechanical maintenance team in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of TPM, preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies.
• Ability to analyze breakdown data and drive continuous improvement.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills to work with frontline staff, suppliers, and internal customers.
