Multi-Disciplinary Design Engineer – Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Control

About the role

We are looking for a Multi‑Disciplinary Design Engineer to join Haskoning’s team supporting Arab Potash Corporation projects in the Dead Sea area of Jordan. The role involves detailed design of electrical, mechanical, instrumentation and control systems for large‑scale industrial infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare coordinated design deliverables for LV/MV power distribution, MCCs, switchgear, transformers and cable routing.
• Develop mechanical layouts for pumps, motors, compressors, valves, skids, pipework and supporting structures.
• Create instrumentation and control layouts, including field instruments, panels, tubing, impulse lines and I/O arrangements.
• Produce single‑line diagrams, load layouts, general arrangement drawings and CAD/BIM models that meet project specifications, codes and standards.
• Ensure clash‑free designs across electrical, mechanical, civil, structural and process disciplines through regular design and model reviews.
• Incorporate constructability, safety, maintainability and lifting requirements into all drawings.

Required profile

• Proven experience in detailed design of multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Familiarity with project specifications, applicable codes and standards.
• Ability to work closely with lead design engineers and other disciplines to achieve coordinated solutions.

Required skills

• LV/MV electrical design, power distribution, MCCs, switchgear, transformers.
• Cable routing, earthing and lightning protection.
• Mechanical equipment layout – pumps, motors, compressors, valves, skids, pipework.
• General arrangement (GA) drawing creation.
• Instrumentation layout – field instruments, panels, junction boxes, tubing, impulse lines.
• Control system coordination – PLC/SCADA, I/O diagrams.
• CAD/BIM modelling and clash detection.
