Network & Computer Systems Administrator – OCONUS

About the role

GovCIO is seeking an experienced Network and Computer Systems Administrator to support Special Operations communications in an OCONUS environment. The role will be based onsite in Singapore or Jordan and involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure WAN/LAN infrastructures.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze technical requirements for network and system solutions.
• Translate high‑level product strategies into detailed network specifications.
• Develop and maintain QoS policies for voice, video, and data traffic.
• Design, document, and test logical and physical network architectures.
• Provide operational support for WAN/LAN technologies, including capacity planning and performance troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with DoD customers to fill information gaps and communicate technical solutions.
• Support hardware and software acquisition and ensure compliance with security standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–8 years of relevant experience in network engineering and system administration.
• Active TS/SCI clearance.
• Strong documentation and reporting abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required skills

• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification.
• 3+ years of Cisco routing and switching experience (EIGRP, BGPv4).
• Expertise in Gigabit Ethernet switching, QoS, DMVPN, IPv4, multicast, DHCP, DNS.
• Proficiency with WAN/LAN technologies, network performance management tools, and security best practices.
