About the role
EFS Facilities Services is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead city‑wide street sweeping and cleaning services. The role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on operational oversight to ensure high standards of cleanliness, sustainability, and efficiency across municipal waste management projects.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable street‑cleaning strategies aligned with municipal objectives.
- Oversee daily, periodic and emergency mechanical sweeping and manual cleaning operations across multiple districts.
- Design optimized cleaning schedules based on traffic, weather, events and seasonal needs.
- Manage procurement, maintenance and performance of cleaning equipment and fleets, including preventive maintenance programs.
- Lead a multi‑site workforce of supervisors, operators, drivers and cleaning teams, ensuring compliance with HR policies and safety standards.
- Establish and monitor KPIs, cleanliness standards and inspection protocols to drive continuous improvement.
Required profile
- Proven experience in managing municipal or large‑scale cleaning operations.
- Strong background in fleet management and equipment maintenance.
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
