Painter – Hotel Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking a skilled Painter to join the facilities team at our hotel in Aqaba. The role involves maintaining the appearance and condition of walls, ceilings, and furniture across the property.

Key responsibilities

• Apply paint, stain, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
• Prepare surfaces by applying primers, sealers, and performing sanding, stripping, or abrasive blasting.
• Remove old finishes through sanding, wire brushing, burning, or water blasting.
• Protect surrounding areas during painting and post appropriate signage.
• Clean and store painting tools and equipment after each job.
• Coordinate with vendors to adjust colors or finishes as needed.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting hazards and completing required training.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
• Minimum of 1 year of painting or related maintenance experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work at heights, lift up to 50 lb, and stand for extended periods.

Required skills

• Paint application using brushes, rollers, and spray guns.
• Surface preparation techniques including priming, sanding, and stripping.
• Use of ladders and basic hand tools for overhead work.
• Knowledge of safety procedures for handling paints and solvents.
