Patents Operations Officer

About the role

The Patents Operations Officer will support the daily administration of patent filings and portfolio management for a well‑established intellectual property firm in Amman. The role combines diary management, client communication, and coordination with national and international patent offices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain filing systems, diaries, and in‑house databases.
• Receive client instructions, enter patent details, and submit applications to various jurisdictions.
• Monitor deadlines, track case progress, and ensure timely filings.
• Correspond with associates, agents, and governmental bodies.
• Update clients on portfolio status via email, phone, or mail.
• Archive files and generate reports and statistics for clients.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, IT or a related field.
• Excellent spoken and written English with strong formal communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple client portfolios simultaneously.
• Team‑player attitude, honesty, and willingness to cooperate with colleagues.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating system.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
