Payroll Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Accountant to join our team in Jordan. The role involves managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the preparation of financial reports across multiple operating countries.

Key responsibilities

• Record sales transactions, bills, payments, taxes and payroll entries (salaries and health insurance) for all operating countries.
• Prepare daily journal entries, update financial statements and maintain supporting documentation.
• Issue invoices following company policies and ensure proper documentation for audits.
• Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, and support collections activities.
• Review invoices and payment entries for accuracy and prepare bank reconciliation statements in various currencies.
• Assist with credit‑card transaction recording, financial reporting, and day‑to‑day accounting tasks.
• Prepare Excel‑based reports, collect and analyse data, and provide insights to senior accountants or management.
• Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure smooth accounting operations and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience.
• Very good command of English.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and communication skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and adapt in a dynamic environment.

• QuickBooks or Zoho Books.
• Microsoft Excel.
