Presales Engineer

About the role

The Presales Engineer will join SmartWave.sa’s Amman office to work closely with the sales team, understand client needs and design technical telecom and IT solutions that match the company’s portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Gather client requirements and translate them into solution designs and bills of materials.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and tender responses.
• Conduct technical assessments, product demonstrations and proof‑of‑concept activities.
• Respond to technical inquiries from prospective customers.
• Collaborate with engineering and integration teams to validate solution feasibility.
• Stay up‑to‑date with partner roadmaps and product offerings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of presales processes and tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with major telecom/IT vendors such as Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, Microsoft, Avaya, HP.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with excellent written and verbal English; Arabic is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively across functions, manage multiple opportunities and meet deadlines.
• Professional certifications (e.g., CCNA/CCNP, HCIA/HCP, JNCIA/JNCIS) are advantageous.
