Procurement Engineer – Civil

About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Engineer specialized in civil projects to manage end‑to‑end purchasing activities. The role involves coordinating material, service and asset requests, negotiating with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery in line with project schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Handle assigned civil procurement projects according to departmental strategy.
• Issue Request for Quotations (RFQ) and negotiate terms based on specifications.
• Prepare comparison sheets, draft purchase orders (PO) and obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain daily status reports and discuss progress with managers.
• Monitor market trends, pricing and delivery conditions to anticipate material availability.
• Identify and qualify new suppliers, maintaining an up‑to‑date supplier database.
• Approve PO, initiate advance payments and support purchase officers in order acknowledgements.
• Match supplier bank details in SAP and raise change requests when needed.
• Cross‑check invoices, provide feedback for letters of credit (L/C) and foreign‑currency statements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience within a civil department.
• Strong knowledge of international procurement practices and Incoterms.
• Experience drafting and managing service contracts.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.
• Proficiency with ERP and procurement software.
