Procurement Leader

About the role

The Procurement Leader is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that support the organization’s goals. This role manages supplier relationships, negotiates contracts and ensures an efficient, cost‑effective, and compliant procurement process.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies for direct and indirect categories.
• Enforce procurement policies and ensure full compliance with internal procedures.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare tender documentation, scopes of work and specifications.
• Manage the end‑to‑end RFX process, from planning to vendor selection and contract award.
• Maintain material and equipment availability through proactive planning and communication.
• Drive cost‑saving initiatives and financial efficiencies aligned with organizational objectives.
• Source, evaluate, negotiate and procure goods and services while managing contract execution.
• Prepare purchase orders, monitor fulfillment, delivery schedules and payment terms.
• Conduct ongoing vendor sourcing and manage supplier relationships for long‑term value.
• Analyze spending, savings and category performance to identify optimization opportunities.

Required profile

• Education in Industrial Engineering, Accounting, Business Administration or related field; MBA or CIPS preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience with demonstrated leadership.
• Strong accuracy, attention to detail and excellent command of English.
• Effective communication, negotiation and judgment to interpret policies.
• Leadership behaviours such as team building, collaboration, execution, growth mindset and innovation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS applications (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
