About the role
The Procurement & Logistics Officer will support Siren Associates' Procurement Department at headquarters, ensuring the smooth planning, coordination, and execution of procurement and logistics activities for programmes in Jordan.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare requests for quotations, solicit offers, and compile procurement documentation in line with Siren’s policies and donor requirements.
- Coordinate with programme, operations, and finance teams to understand needs and guarantee timely delivery of goods and services.
- Maintain accurate procurement files, purchase orders, supplier records, and supporting documentation for audit and compliance.
- Arrange logistics, including transportation, delivery follow‑up, storage, stock tracking, and distribution of supplies and equipment.
- Update inventory and asset records, ensuring proper tagging, tracking, handover, and reconciliation.
- Liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholders to monitor orders, deliveries, invoices, and service quality.
- Support contract administration by tracking supplier performance and flagging issues.
- Contribute to improving procurement and logistics tools, templates, filing systems, and workflow efficiency.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, supply chain management, procurement or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain or operations, preferably within an international development or non‑profit context.
- Good understanding of procurement procedures, supplier management, inventory control and logistics coordination.
- Familiarity with donor‑funded procurement requirements and compliance standards is an asset.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
Required skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (and broader Microsoft Office suite).
- Experience with procurement, inventory or ERP systems (preferred).
