Project Manager – Banking Digital Transformation

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Enterprise Project Management Office (ePMO) of a leading bank. The role will drive strategic, technology‑enabled projects across Digital Channels, Corporate Banking, SME Banking, Cards, Payments and other digital initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation, planning and execution through testing, go‑live, stabilization and closure.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects, controlling scope, schedule, budget, resources, quality, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risk assessments, governance documentation and executive‑level status reports.
• Coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders in Business, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, Finance and Legal.
• Oversee external vendors, consultants, system integrators and technology partners.
• Ensure compliance with project governance frameworks, delivery methodologies and best practices.
• Handle scope changes, risk mitigation, issue resolution and stakeholder expectations throughout the project.
• Support UAT follow‑ups, production deployment, operational handover and post‑go‑live stabilization.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of project management experience, preferably in the banking sector.
• Mandatory PMP certification; Agile certification (PMI‑ACP or equivalent) is a plus.
• Proven delivery of projects in Digital Channels, Corporate Banking or SME Banking.
• Strong understanding of banking operating models, cross‑functional dependencies and regulatory environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendors and multiple business and technology stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• PMP certification (mandatory)
• Agile certifications (PMI‑ACP or similar)
• Waterfall, Scrum, SAFe and Hybrid delivery methodologies
• Experience with APIs, integrations, automation and Open Banking
• Knowledge of payment systems such as SWIFT, ACH or RTGS and Cards Operations (Issuing & Acquiring)
