Project Officer – Short Term (6 months) – Amman

About the role

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Jordan is looking for a Project Officer to support the seven‑year Building Resilience to Cope with Climate Change in Jordan through Improving Water Use Efficiency in the Agriculture Sector (BRCCJ) project. This short‑term (6‑month) position will be based in Amman and will contribute to the effective implementation of the project’s activities across the Dead Sea Basin.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination and monitoring of BRCCJ project activities in Karak, Madaba, Tafileh, and Ma’an governorates.
• Support the delivery of technical assistance, policy support, and institutional strengthening components.
• Help gather and analyse data related to water use efficiency and sustainable agricultural practices.
• Contribute to reporting, documentation, and knowledge‑sharing with project partners including FAO, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Ministry of Water and Irrigation.

Required profile

• Relevant experience in climate‑change, water‑resource or agricultural projects.
• Familiarity with project management processes and stakeholder coordination.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and support UNDP’s climate and energy pillar objectives.
