QA Manual & Automation Engineer

About the role

Syarah is building a digital end‑to‑end car buying experience across Saudi Arabia and the Middle East. The QA Manual & Automation Engineer will ensure the quality of the platform’s many components – from sourcing and inspection to financing and shipping – by designing, executing, and automating tests across web, mobile, and API layers.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to understand requirements and communicate impact of defects.
• Define testing scope for each release and maintain regression suites.
• Identify, analyze, and track bugs, recommending solutions for recurring issues.
• Develop, maintain, and run automation scripts for new functionality, API, mobile, and web testing.
• Execute various test types including smoke, ad‑hoc, system, integration, and performance testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of professional experience in quality control and testing.
• 2+ years of experience writing automated tests for integration, API, mobile, web, and performance.
• Strong analytical, logical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Required skills

• Software QA methodologies, tools and processes.
• API testing tools: Postman, Soap UI, Katalon.
• SQL query proficiency.
• Test automation frameworks: Selenium, Appium.
• Web testing knowledge: HTML, CSS, XPath.
• Automation scripting for API, mobile, and web.
