Quality Engineer – Payments & Card Systems

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to ensure the reliability and performance of our credit card and payment systems. The role involves designing, developing and executing both manual and automated test scripts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving quality throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute manual and automated test scripts for credit card and payment platforms.
• Collaborate with development, product and operations teams to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and performance testing.
• Identify, document and track defects, working closely with developers to resolve issues.
• Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases and test data.
• Mentor junior test engineers and provide technical leadership.
• Conduct client reviews of test cases and pass logs, ensuring zero errors before production rollout.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 4-6 years of software testing experience, preferably in card and payment systems.
• Certification in software testing such as ISTQB.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 8583 message types and credit-card lifecycle.
• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
• Performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
• Understanding of security testing practices.
