Quality Inspector II

About the role

CROWN Middle East Can Co Ltd is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector II to ensure that manufactured products meet established quality standards and specifications. This role involves detailed inspection throughout the production process to identify defects and ensure compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform in‑process and final inspections of manufactured cans and components according to quality control plans.
• Use measuring instruments such as micrometers, height gauges and vision systems to verify dimensions, tolerances and surface finishes.
• Identify, document and report non‑conforming products, including defect descriptions, root causes and corrective actions.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards to set inspection criteria.
• Conduct visual inspections for dents, scratches, misprints and material flaws.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, defect logs and calibration documentation.
• Collaborate with production staff and engineers to resolve quality issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Assist in investigating customer complaints related to product quality.
• Operate and maintain quality control equipment, ensuring proper calibration.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Chemical Engineering or equivalent; technical certificate or associate’s degree is a plus.
• 2–4 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in a manufacturing environment, preferably in can production.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints and technical specifications.
• Strong understanding of quality control methodologies such as SPC, 5S and Lean Manufacturing.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills and ability to document defects accurately.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and holidays as required.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
