Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Dar Al Omran is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of its construction projects. The role involves measuring quantities, controlling costs, certifying payments and ensuring compliance with contract terms and company quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and value completed works against contract documents.
• Certify contractors' monthly payment applications and monitor project budgets to prevent cost overruns.
• Administer contracts, review contractual correspondence and assess variations, claims and extensions of time, preferably using FIDIC contracts.
• Coordinate with resident engineers, project managers, contractors and consultants on quantity‑related matters and conduct regular site visits.
• Produce cost estimates, cash‑flow forecasts, monthly cost reports and final account statements.
• Review shop drawings, specifications and contract documents for quantity verification and maintain complete commercial documentation.
• Ensure all quantity surveying activities comply with project specifications, contractual requirements and applicable regulations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in quantity surveying, cost management and contract administration within construction projects.
• Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions is preferred.
• Ability to work closely with engineers, project managers and contractors to resolve commercial and contractual issues.
• Strong analytical skills for cost reporting and budget monitoring.
