R&D Formulation Scientist – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The R&D Formulation Scientist will lead formulation and process development activities for new and existing pharmaceutical products, ensuring strict compliance with GMP, GLP and company quality standards. This position works closely with cross‑functional teams to bring products from concept to stable, market‑ready dosage forms.

Key responsibilities

• Document all Formulation Section systems and procedures according to the company documentation system.
• Implement GMP and GLP requirements throughout the Formulation Section.
• Apply SOPs for equipment calibration, maintenance, cleaning and safety.
• Perform troubleshooting of defects in coordination with responsible personnel.
• Carry out process validation tasks as required.
• Conduct pre‑formulation studies and develop new product formulations, including design, optimization and process design.
• Modify existing formulations or processes to address stability or specification issues.
• Produce R&D batches for stability testing and coordinate packaging with primary materials.
• Prepare technical documentation such as formulas, batch records, specifications and development reports.
• Support the first three production batches of new products and provide troubleshooting assistance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in pharmaceutical formulation and process development.
• Very good command of the English language.
