Recreation Supervisor

About the role

The Recreation Supervisor ensures a safe, welcoming, and high‑quality experience for guests using the hotel’s spa, gym and wellness facilities. Reporting to the Director of Spa & Recreation, you will lead a team, manage daily operations and uphold the brand’s standards of responsible hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, register them for fitness facilities and provide personalized service following Fairmont SOPs.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of spa services, pricing, schedules and specials.
• Supervise, correct and demonstrate all duties within the recreation area.
• Ensure cleanliness of equipment, public and service areas, and stock supplies such as towels, water, ice and magazines.
• Schedule staff across Recreation & Wellness departments and ensure smooth reception operations.
• Provide guests with information on programs, activities and facility offerings.
• Assist in promoting the facility, organizing special events and handling administrative tasks.
• Report equipment maintenance needs and follow safety and sanitation policies.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a fitness or wellness facility (preferred).
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Organised, team‑oriented and passionate about wellness.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows applications.
