Regulatory Affairs Manager

About the role

The Regulatory Affairs Manager will lead the analysis of policy, law and regulation changes affecting Umniah by Beyon, ensuring that operational impacts are understood and mitigated. This role bridges the gap between regulatory bodies and internal business units, driving compliance and strategic alignment across the telecom portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and assess operational impact of regulatory changes and provide risk‑based recommendations to management.
• Lead internal implementation of strategic regulatory projects, ensuring alignment with both regulatory requirements and company objectives.
• Study, coordinate and draft the company’s position on telecom, digital transformation policies and related regulations.
• Advise business units on compliance requirements, strategic risks and legislative interactions within the ICT sector.
• Develop and review regulatory cost models for telecom services using economic and econometric principles.
• Create, communicate and maintain regulatory compliance policies across business units.
• Provide guidance and training to enhance awareness of regulatory obligations and policy issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Economics, Telecom Engineering or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in telecommunications regulatory affairs within an operator, consultancy or national regulator.
• Strong knowledge of Jordanian telecom legislation, regional and international regulations, and market economic principles.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Self‑motivated, able to work with limited supervision and collaborate within a small team.
