Relationship Manager – Syndication & Specialized Lending Desk

About the role

The Relationship Manager will oversee the origination, structuring, execution, syndication and portfolio management of corporate, structured finance and project finance transactions. You will act as the primary point of contact for strategic clients throughout the transaction lifecycle and lead the Syndication team.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and follow up on syndicated lending, structured finance and project finance opportunities for corporate, government‑related and sponsor clients.
• Maintain strategic client relationships and serve as the main Relationship Manager from origination to post‑closing.
• Conduct financial analysis, modelling, sensitivity testing and transaction valuation.
• Prepare credit proposals, mandate letters, fee letters, term sheets, LMA documents and inter‑creditor agreements for Credit Committees and senior management.
• Implement syndication and distribution strategies, including lender selection and allocation.
• Coordinate technical, legal, insurance, tax, environmental, social and financial due‑diligence processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, Basel III, AML/KYC, ESG standards and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor execution milestones, portfolio performance, covenant compliance, restructurings and amendments.
• Analyse profitability using RAROC, ROE, economic capital and portfolio analytics.
• Prepare and update pipeline, portfolio, fee income and management reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business Administration; MBA or professional qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of banking experience in syndicated finance, corporate or structured/project finance.
• Proven experience in originating and leading syndicated transactions.
• Strong knowledge of LMA documentation and syndicated loan execution.
• Fluent in English and Arabic.
