Remote Full Stack Engineer (React + Django)

About the role

Spotter Labs is a remote, product‑focused startup building AI‑ and algorithm‑driven systems. They are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who can move comfortably between React frontends and Django backends, owning features end‑to‑end.

Key responsibilities

• Build and ship complete features across the React frontend and Django backend.
• Develop responsive web applications using React and Material UI (MUI).
• Design backend services and APIs using Python and Django.
• Implement algorithmic and AI‑driven logic such as scoring, ranking, and decision systems.
• Design data models and application logic for new product features.
• Write pragmatic, production‑ready code that can be shipped and iterated quickly.
• Work closely with the team to take features from idea to production.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency with React.
• Strong experience with Python and Django.
• Experience with Material UI (MUI).
• Comfortable designing and building REST APIs.
• Experience working with non‑trivial business logic, algorithms, or decision systems.
• Strong attention to detail around UI alignment, spacing, responsiveness, and overall product experience.
• Good understanding of application performance, database queries, caching, and common performance bottlenecks.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
