Remote Office Engineer (US Construction)

About the role

This fully remote, full‑time position supports the estimating and project management team of a US‑based construction firm. Based in Jordan, you will work closely with company leadership and US project managers to handle project administration.

Key responsibilities

• Create, track, and close out RFIs with clear, solutions‑oriented questions.
• Manage submittal and shop drawing processes with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Administer contract changes, track and log change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractor communication, bid solicitation, and bid leveling.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and cost estimates from architectural and structural drawings.
• Track job cost (budget vs. committed vs. actual) and report variances.
• Coordinate material procurement and delivery schedules.
• Update project schedules and report progress and production trends.
• Maintain document control, including drawing logs, specifications, permits, contracts, and meeting minutes.
• Track permit and plan‑check status with city building agencies.
• Assemble project close‑out documents such as warranties, O&M manuals, and as‑builts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management.
• 3+ years experience as an office engineer, technical office engineer, or project engineer with a contractor.
• Strong written and spoken English for daily communication with US clients and leadership.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to read and take off quantities from architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.

Required skills

• Bluebeam Revu (reading level).
• AutoCAD (reading level).
• MS Project, Primavera, or Procore.
