Resource Management Specialist / Associate Manager

About the role

The Resource Management Specialist / Associate Manager will support KPMG’s resourcing function, ensuring the right people with the right skills are deployed to client engagements across service lines and geographies. This role contributes to effective workforce planning, headcount management, and the development of staff throughout the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with business units to identify and tailor Resource Management solutions for each service line and geography.
• Implement Resource Management processes and governance frameworks.
• Promote the value of effective Resource Management to all staff levels, from partners to graduates.
• Serve as the primary contact for resourcing issues, advocating for the function and resolving conflicts promptly.
• Identify appropriate staffing mixes, including onshore, offshore, subcontractors and contractors.
• Manage day‑to‑day use of Retain, ensuring data consistency and compliance.
• Work with Resourcing Associates, Consultants and Assistant Managers to maintain schedule quality.
• Prepare analysis and reports on capacity, projected revenue and utilization.
• Review Retain and financial data to spot issues, communicate findings and recommend actions.
• Encourage staff to keep CVs current and support people initiatives and performance‑management cycles.
• Support ad‑hoc firm‑wide projects, maintain capability repositories and promote knowledge sharing across KPMG’s global network.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in resource planning, capacity management or talent acquisition within the financial services industry.
• Strong analytical abilities and proficiency in data analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively across service lines and geographies.
