Resource Management Specialist

About the role

The Resource Management Specialist supports KPMG’s resourcing function by ensuring the right talent is available at the right time, across service lines and geographies. This role blends workforce planning, capacity analysis, and stakeholder collaboration to drive efficient staff deployment and career development.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business units to identify and tailor Resource Management solutions for each service line and region.
• Implement and govern Resource Management processes, promoting best practices from senior partners to new graduates.
• Serve as the primary contact for resourcing issues, resolving conflicts and managing staff deployment across on‑shore, off‑shore, and alternative staffing models.
• Oversee daily use of the Retain scheduling tool, ensuring data accuracy and compliance.
• Prepare capacity, revenue, and utilization reports; analyze financial data to flag issues and recommend actions.
• Encourage staff to keep CVs up‑to‑date, support performance‑management cycles, and participate in people‑development initiatives.
• Support firm‑wide projects, improve processes, and maintain capability repositories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in resource planning, workforce management, or a similar discipline.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Retain (resource scheduling tool).
