Room Service Waiter

About the role

The Room Service Waiter provides courteous, professional and efficient food and beverage service to guests in their rooms and suites at Kempinski Dubai. The role supports the hotel’s high standards of hospitality, encourages upselling, and contributes to guest satisfaction and revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Serve food and beverages to guests in accordance with hotel standards and Kempinski’s DNA values.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of all menu items, beverages, and hotel services to answer guest enquiries and upsell effectively.
• Operate the POS system accurately and handle guest orders, payments, and special requests.
• Monitor and control operating supplies, reduce waste, and ensure proper inventory of products and equipment.
• Perform opening and closing procedures for the room service outlet, keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Report guest complaints promptly to supervisors and follow up to ensure resolution.
• Collaborate with the kitchen, order takers and service team to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery.
• Assist with scheduled inventories and undertake reasonable secondary duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Knowledge of hotel food and beverage offerings and ability to explain menu items to guests.
• Understanding of hygiene regulations, fire safety, and HACCP standards.
• Professional attitude with a focus on delivering high‑quality service.
• Ability to work flexible hours and follow established service procedures.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating a POS (Point‑of‑Sale) system.
• Familiarity with HACCP food safety principles.
