Safety Supervisor

About the role

The Safety Supervisor will lead the hotel’s health and safety program, ensuring a safe work environment for all associates and guests. This role combines risk assessment, hazard inspection, and staff coaching to minimise injuries and maintain compliance with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and mitigate risks in the hotel environment to reduce illness and injury.
• Inspect hazardous factors, equipment and facilities, and report unsafe conditions.
• Advise management on safety policies, monitor compliance, and produce regular safety reports.
• Engage and train staff on safe work practices, serving as a role model and first point of contact for safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate safety documentation, complete required certifications, and ensure uniform and personal appearance standards are met.
• Respond to accidents, injuries, and emergencies, and coordinate follow‑up actions.
• Support guest services by welcoming guests, addressing service needs, and upholding professional communication standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in safety, loss‑prevention, or related roles, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Demonstrated supervisory or coaching experience.
