Sales Executive

About the role

The Sales Executive will work on‑site in Amman, driving business growth for Octopus Shipping & Connecting by acquiring new customers and nurturing existing relationships within the shipping and logistics sector.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and prospect new customers for shipping and logistics services.
• Present service offerings, prepare quotations and negotiate contracts to achieve sales targets.
• Maintain regular follow‑up with existing clients, manage inquiries and resolve issues.
• Collaborate with operations and customer‑service teams to coordinate shipments and monitor performance.
• Provide accurate information to clients and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Report on sales activities, market trends and competitor insights.

Required profile

• Strong sales, negotiation and client‑relationship management skills in shipping or logistics.
• Ability to conduct market research, identify opportunities and develop sales strategies.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
• Solid organizational, time‑management and problem‑solving abilities.
• Previous experience in shipping, freight forwarding or logistics sales is highly beneficial.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• Proficiency with basic office software and CRM tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics or a related field preferred.
