Science & Mathematics Coordinator

About the role

Arab Model Schools is looking for an experienced Science & Mathematics Coordinator to lead the Science and Mathematics departments across both the Jordanian National Program and the American Curriculum (EST & AP). The role provides academic leadership, curriculum oversight, and instructional support to ensure high‑quality teaching aligned with Ministry of Education and College Board standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the Science and Mathematics departments, ensuring full implementation of national and College Board curricula.
• Develop annual academic plans, monitor pacing, and support curriculum mapping and vertical alignment.
• Coach, mentor, and observe teachers, providing feedback and organizing professional‑development workshops.
• Analyze assessment data, design intervention plans, and coordinate common assessments and examinations.
• Organize departmental meetings, review lesson plans and resources, and ensure effective use of laboratories and educational technology.
• Collaborate with the principal, academic leadership, parents, and coordinate STEM‑related activities such as competitions and Olympiads.
• Maintain high academic standards, stay updated on curriculum reforms, and contribute to school improvement and accreditation initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Mathematics, Education or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Education, Educational Leadership, Curriculum or a related discipline is preferred.
• Proven leadership experience in a school setting, with a strong background in Science and/or Mathematics education.
• Demonstrated ability to improve student achievement through effective teaching practices and professional development.
• Excellent collaborative and communication skills.
