Scientific Editor – Natural Resource Management

About the role

We are seeking experienced scientific editors to join our Earth and Environmental Science team on a work‑from‑home basis. The position is contractual and renewable by mutual consent, offering a predictable schedule with regular work.

Key responsibilities

• Review and edit manuscripts to improve clarity, coherence, and readability while preserving authors’ intent.
• Ensure subject‑specific terminology, conventions, and scientific arguments are accurate and appropriate for the target audience.
• Enhance presentation of complex research findings for publication readiness.
• Edit texts to meet the highest academic standards, eliminating unclear or illogical sentences and adhering to journal‑specific guidelines.

Required profile

• Master’s or PhD in one of the listed environmental or earth‑science disciplines.
• Demonstrated ability to critically evaluate scientific content with discipline‑specific accuracy.
• Excellent written English and strong attention to detail.
• Prior experience in scientific editing, peer review, or academic publishing is an advantage.
