Security Manager

About the role

The Security Manager will lead Arab Bank’s enterprise‑wide security program, ensuring protection of people, assets and information across all locations. This senior role reports to the head of the security department and works closely with senior management to align security initiatives with business objectives and regulatory mandates.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and continuously improve the bank’s security strategy in line with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
• Establish governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures to ensure compliance with local regulations and central bank directives.
• Prepare and present security posture reports, risk assessments and strategic recommendations to senior committees.
• Lead proactive threat assessments, vulnerability analyses and maintain a comprehensive security risk register with quantified ratings and mitigation plans.
• Monitor geopolitical, environmental and sector‑specific threat intelligence to anticipate emerging risks.
• Oversee design, deployment and maintenance of physical security infrastructure such as CCTV, access control, alarm systems, vaults and safe rooms.
• Ensure 24/7 monitoring, incident response capabilities and compliance with all applicable laws and ISO standards.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing security team across headquarters and branch network.
• Drive automation and digital transformation within the security function to improve efficiency.
• Manage the security department’s annual budget and third‑party service provider contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Crisis Management, Risk Management or a related field.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in security management, preferably within the banking sector.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational and leadership skills.
• Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication, teamwork and problem‑solving abilities.
