Security Manager – Retail Sector

About the role

The Security Manager will lead the security function for a leading retail organization, developing and implementing comprehensive strategies to protect people, assets, facilities and operations. This senior position oversees physical security, loss prevention, risk management, emergency preparedness and regulatory compliance while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and enforce security policies and procedures across stores, warehouses and head‑office locations.
• Supervise Security Supervisors and guards, ensuring adherence to standards.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement preventive measures.
• Investigate theft, fraud, breaches and workplace incidents.
• Coordinate CCTV monitoring, access‑control, alarm systems and other security technologies.
• Design loss‑prevention programs to reduce shrinkage.
• Ensure compliance with laws, health‑and‑safety regulations and company policies.
• Liaise with law‑enforcement, emergency services and external security providers.
• Prepare incident reports, KPIs and management dashboards.
• Maintain emergency response, evacuation and business‑continuity plans.
• Conduct regular audits, inspections and vulnerability assessments.
• Train staff on security awareness, emergency procedures and loss‑prevention practices.
• Manage the security budget, equipment procurement and vendor contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration or related field.
• 7–10 years of progressive security‑management experience, including 3–5 years in a managerial role within retail.
• Jordanian nationality and valid driver’s license.
• Professional certifications such as CPP, PSP or equivalent are preferred.
